Mango frooti

It is this season of the year that not only that refrigerator is filled with mangoes but also mango dishes. Be it aam panna, mango jam, aam papad, mango ice-cream n the list goes on.

Mango frooti is another addition in the list. I love making Mango frooty in home. It serves perfect drink with lunch or dinner. Evening kids would love to have this.

Here is my way of making frooti..

2 Mangoes ripened

1 Mango raw

3/4 cup sugar

1 tsp vinegar

2 cups Water ( required depending on your taste )

Method

1. Peel off the mangoes and cut them into big chunks. Grind it smooth in a mixer jar. Keep ripe n raw mangoes separate.

2. Now take a pan, add ripe Mango puree first n cook for 2-3 minutes. Then add raw Mango puree and mix well. Cook for around 10-15 minutes.

3. Add sugar and stir well until combined. Add in vinegar when the puree seems to have cooked completely.

4. Seive this mixture in a strainer. Add 1 cup water and mix well. Check the consistency. If you like to drink thick Mazza you can stop here or else add one more cup and enjoy frooti.
